New Dandi March on Plastic Awareness held in Gummudipoondi on 12th March,2012

It was a delightful sight to watch 78 young nursery school children sporting Pyjama Kurta and wearing Gandhi Cap and raising Slogans on Plastic Awareness with another child dressed as Mahatma Gandhi leadingthe anti plastic usage march.

On 12th March 1930, Mahatma Gandhi undertook a padayatra to oppose the salt act promulgated by then British rulers to create an awareness against the evils of the act. Gandhiji had led the march from Sabarmati Ashram with 78 followers and to coincide this event,a NewDandi March had been organized by `Gandhi World Foundation’ to create an awareness among the Public against the evil effects of Plastic Usage and Plastic Recycling which causes Global Warming and also causes adverse effects on the lives of human beings and to safeguard the future generation from disaster, an awareness was created among young children and general public to spread the message of the evils of plastic recycling.

The young School Students were from Adarsh Vidhyalaya Nursery & Primary, New Gummudipoondi. A Pledge was administered to all the children against the harmful effects of Plastic usage. The March was flagged off by the Trustees of `Gandhi World Foundation’ Viz Mr.ML.Rajesh, Mrs.Vijayalakshmi Rajesh, Chennai Advocate Mr.Shyam Sundar and Mr.Dilip Kumar Jain. Subsequently the Children raised slogans and marched all over the town of Gummudipoondi and Phamplets were distributed to all the general public. Moreover Cloth Carry bags

with Plastic usage message were also handed over to the general public requesting them to avoid usage of polythene bags. Many Volunteers of Gandhi World Foundation also attended the event apart from some General Public in Gummudipoondi Town who also joined the march along with the Children on their own to support the noble cause of plastic awareness.

In the end, a letter was handed over by the Trustees of `Gandhi World Foundation’ to Gummudipoondi Town Panchayat President to move a resolution for banning the usage of polythene bags and introducing cloth carry bags.

“Gandhi World Foundation” Conducted drawing Competition, quiz competition and other sports activities to over 150 nearby school students at Gummudipoondi on 29/01/2012 for remembrance of Mahatma’s 64th death anniversary. The main of Gandhi world Foundation to organize this event was to spread Gandhiji’s thoughts to younger generation of our country because entire world has started honoring and following the path of Mahatma but our own nation has started  Forgetting Mahatma and his principles.

காந்தி வேர்ல்ட் பவுண்டேஷன் ஒரு, அரசியல்சாராத, தொண்டு செய்யும் சமூக சேவை நிறுவனம். இளம் தலைமுறையினரிடம் காந்தியக் கொள்கைகளை எடுத்துச் செல்வதற்காக துவக்கப்பட்ட இந்த நிறுவனம் முறைப்படி பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள அறக்கட்டளை. காந்தி நினைவாக, உலக நாடுகள் வெளியிட்ட நாணயங்கள், தபால் தலைகள், தபால் உறைகள், கரன்சி, சிறப்பு உறைகள், டெலிபோன் அட்டைகள் போன்ற பலவற்றை இந்த டிரஸ்ட்டின் தலைவர் எம்.எல்.ராஜேஷ் கொண்டுள்ளார். மகாத்மா காந்தியின் அரிய புகைப்படங்கள், அவர் வெளியிட்ட பத்திரிகைகள், கைப்பட எழுதிய பிரதிகள் மற்றும் காந்தி தொடர்பான மதிப்பு வாய்ந்த பல தகவல்களை அவர் வைத்துள்ளார். அதுபற்றிய முழுமையான விவரம், இந்த இணையதளத்தில் உள்ளது. இதைப் பார்க்கும் இளம் தலைமுறையினர், காந்தியின் அறிவுரைகளால் ஈர்க்கப்பட வாய்ப்பு உள்ளது. காந்தி மீதான அவர்களின் மதிப்பும் மரியாதையும் பல மடங்கு பெருகும். <உலகின் உயரிய தலைவர்களில் சிறந்தவரான காந்திஜி நினைவைப் போற்றும் வகையில் 120க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாடுகள் தபால் தலைகள், நாணயங்கள் போன்றவற்றை வெளியிட்டுள்ளன. 70க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாடுகளில் காந்தி சிலைகள் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன.

நோக்கம் மற்றும் செயல்கள்

1. தேசப்பிதா காந்தியடிகளின் போதனைகள் மற்றும் அறிவுரைகளை பரப்புவது. அதற்காக, புத்தங்கள், சிறுகதைகள், காமிக்ஸ், சிடி (ஆடியோ மற்றும் வீடியோ) போன்றவற்றை வெளியிடுவது. அதன் மூலம் இளம் தலைமுறையினரிடம் நல்ல பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், மரியாதை, அமைதி, நல்லிணக்கம், கலாச்சாரம், மதிப்பு, நல்லமரபு போன்றவற்றை விதைப்பது. அதன் மூலம் எதிர்கால சந்ததியினரை சிறந்த குடிமகன்களாக மாற்றுவது. மதுபானம் அருந்துவது, புகைப்பிடித்தல், புகையிலைப் பொருட்களை பயன்படுத்துவதன் தீங்குகளை விளக்குவது.

2. குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் இளைஞர்களுக்கு காந்தி தொடர்பான நினைவுப்பொருட்களால் ஆன கண்காட்சியை நடத்துவது. அதில் நாணயங்கள், தபால் உறைகள், கரன்சி நோட்டுகள், போட்டோக்கள், லட்டர்கள், கையெழுத்துப் பிரதிகள் போன்றவற்றை காட்சிக்கு வைப்பது.

3. காந்தி நினைவாக வெளியிடப்பட்ட நினைவுப் பொருட்களை வாங்குவது. உள்நாட்டில் இருந்தாலும் வெளிநாடுகளில் இருந்தாலும் அவற்றிற்கு சரியான பணத்தைக் கொடுத்து வாங்குவது.

4. கிராமங்கள், நகரங்கள், பெருநகரங்களில் விளையாட்டு நடவடிக்கைகளை ஊக்குவித்து, இளம் சிறுவர், சிறுமியரிடம் மறைந்திருக்கும் திறமைகளை வெளிக் கொண்டு வருவது. இதற்காக, விளையாட்டு கல்விக்கழகம் ஒன்றைத் துவக்கி விளையாட்டை மேம்படுத்துவது மற்றும் விளையாட்டுப் பொருட்களை வாங்குவது.

5. கிராமப்புற மற்றும் நகர்புற இளைஞர்களுக்கு கம்ப்யூட்டர் திறன் பயிற்சி அளித்தல், அவர்களின் பேச்சுத்திறன், அறிவுத்திறன் மற்றும் மனத்திறனை மேம்படுத்தி அவர்களுக்கு நல்ல வேலைவாய்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்துவது. இதற்காக, பிற அறக்கட்டளைகள் அல்லது அரசுசாரா தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள் அல்லது தனிப்பட்ட பயிற்சியாளர்களை வைத்துக் கொள்வது.

6. உடல் ஊனமுற்ற குழந்தைகளுக்குத் தேவையான காது கேட்கும் கருவிகள், சக்கர நாற்காலி, பிரெய்லி நுõல்கள், சிடிகள், கண் பார்வையிழந்த குழந்தைகளுக்கான படிக்கும் மென்பொருட்கள் வாங்குவது.

7. ஏழைக் குழந்தைகளுக்கு நோட்டு புத்தகங்கள், டி ஷர்ட், பை, பள்ளிச் சீருடை, ஷூ, எழுதுபொருட்கள் வழங்குவது. படிப்பில் சிறந்து விளங்கும் ஏழைச் சிறுவர்களுக்கு கல்விச் செலவு வழங்குவது.

8. படிப்பிலும் விளையாட்டில் சிறந்து விளங்கும் வீரர்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு பதக்கங்கள், பரிசுகள் வழங்கி கௌரவிப்பது.

9. சமுதாயத்தின் சிறந்த பிரபலங்களை பிரபல சமுதாய தொண்டர்களைக் கௌரவிப்பது.

10. வண்ணம் தீட்டுதல், ஓவியம் வரைதல், பேச்சுப்போட்டி, வினாடி வினா, மகாத்மா காந்தி தொடர்பான போதனைகளை பரவச் செய்தல்.

11. இளைஞர்கள் மற்றும் சிறுவர் இடையே காதியை பயன்படுத்தச் செய்தல்.

12. காந்தி தொடர்பான புத்தங்கள், சிறுகதைகள், காமிக்ஸ் மற்றும் சிடிகள் (ஆடியோ மற்றும் வீடியோ) வெளியீட்டிற்கான காப்பிரைட் உரிமம் பெறுவது.

13. குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் இளைஞர் மத்தியில் யோகா, தியானம், உடல் ஆரோக்கியத்தை பேணச் செய்தல்.

14. சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு, இயற்கை வளங்களைக் காப்பது, காடுகளை அழிக்காமல் பாதுகாப்பது, நிலத்தடி நீர் பாதுகாப்பு, மழைநீர் சேகரிப்பு, மரங்கள் நடுவது, சாலை பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் விதிமுறைகள் குறித்து மாணவர்களுக்கு போதிப்பது. இதற்காக சொற்பொழிவுகள், கருத்தரங்குகள் நடத்துவது.

15. இளைஞர்களை தங்கள் சொந்த காலில் நிற்க வைப்பதற்கான, வேலைவாய்ப்பு பயிற்சிகளான தச்சுத்தொழில், தையல் தொழில், வெல்டிங், ஒயரிங் போன்றவற்றில் பயிற்சி அளித்து சுயசார்பாகவும் சுய சம்பாத்தியத்துடனும் வாழ வழி செய்வது.

16. இளைஞர்களுக்கும் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கும் கம்ப்யூட்டர் பயிற்சி அளிப்பது.

17. பூகம்பம், வெள்ளம், சுனாமி, தீ, பஞ்சம் போன்ற இயற்கை சீற்றங்களால் பாதிக்கப்படும் மக்களுக்குத் தேவையான உணவு, உடை, பண உதவி போன்றவற்றை வழங்குவது. அனாதை இல்லங்கள், மீட்பு மையங்கள் போன்றவற்றில் இருப்பவர்களுக்குத் தேவைப்படும் ஆதரவை வழங்குவது.

18. ஏழைகள் மற்றும் நலிவடைந்த பிரிவினர் பயனடையும் வகையில், ரத்ததான முகாம், கண்தான முகாம், மருத்துவ உதவி முகாம், உடல் ஆரோக்கிய முகாம் நடத்துவது.

19. கல்வியறிவு புகட்டுதல் மற்றும் பயிற்சி நடவடிக்கைகள் தொடர்பான பணிகளில், ஆடியோ வீடியோ கருவிகளைப் பயன்படுத்துவது.

20. சமுதாயத்தில் பின்தங்கிய நிலையில் உள்ளவர்கள், ஏழைகள், குடிசைகளில் வாழ்பவர்கள், கிராமப்புறம் மற்றும் நகர்புறங்களில் வசிக்கும் மக்களில் கல்வியறிவின்மையைப் போக்க தக்க நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுப்பது.

21. உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகள், பஞ்சாயத்து யூனியன், முனிசிபாலிட்டி, கார்ப்பரேஷன், தனியார் பள்ளி, கல்லுõரிகள், அரசுசாரா தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள், மத்திய, மாநில அரசுகள் போன்றவற்றுடன் இணைந்து இந்த அறக்கட்டளையின் குறிக்கோள்களை அடைய பாடுபடுவது.

OBJECTS & ACTIVITIES

(c)    To Purchase Gandhiji Memorabilla items like Stamps, Coins, Postal Covers, Photos, Manuscipts etc issued by any Country or Individual either in India or from outside India by paying consideration in foreign currency (if required).

(d)   To encourage all kind of Sports activities in Villages, Towns and Cities so as to bring out the hidden talent of young boys and girls and young men and women and in this connection establish, manage and administer a Sports Academy for development of any kind of Sports and purchase Sports equipments.

(e)    To provide Soft Skills Training for rural and urban youth so as to improve their communication skills, attitude skills, aptitude skills etc so as to ensure that they get good placements and in this connection jointly work with any other Trust or NGO’s or Individual Trainers.

(f)    To render all possible help and financial assistance for handicapped Children and buying hearing aids, wheelchairs, brailey books & CD’s and Screen Reading Softwares for Visually Impaired Children.

(g)   To donate notebooks, T-Shirts, bags, uniforms, shoes and stationery items to poor children and to sponser the education of students and youth who have excelled in academics.

(h)   To honour (by distributing medals and gifts) to good performing sportspersons and Children who have excelled in academics and extra curricular activities so as to encourage them to perform better

(i)     To honour eminent persons and prominent social workers in the society

(j)     To Conduct Painting, Drawing, Speech Competitions, Quiz and Educative Programmes to spread the teachings of Mahatma Gandhiji

(q)   To conduct poor feeding and to give food, clothing and cash grants to the poor, widows and afford relief to people in distress and affected by earthquake, flood, Tsunami, Fire, Famine and other causes and to grant donations for the support of the inmates of the orphanages, rescues houses and similar institutions and societies.

(r)      To register blood doners and organize blood donation camps, eye camps, medical aid and conduct general health check camps for the benefit of poor and needy sections of the society.

1st GANDHI MEMORABILIA EXHIBITION IN CHENNAI

Gandhi Memorabilia Exhibition was inaugurated on June 6th 2012 by Hon’ble Former President of India, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam at Anna University Campus in Chennai. Shri.V.Kalyanam, Former Personal Secretary to Mahatma Gandhi (1944-1948) was felicitated by Dr.Abdul Kalam during the exhibition inauguration. Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam addressed the gathering of close to 800 persons at Vivekananda Auditorium in Anna University. He Congratulated Gandhi World Foundation and had mentioned that he had not come across such a rare exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi.
